Bio
At every show, the band's personal and musical chemistry is evident from the downbeat to the final chord. In between, Kettlestrings weaves together eclectic and dynamic sets out of its original songs, its own arrangements of classics, hidden gems by artists from Etta James to Radiohead, Nick Lowe to Hall & Oates, Crowded House to Bob Dylan, and a few others you may not have heard of, like Bettie Serveert, the Waifs, and Fairground Attraction. Folks come to the band's shows expecting the unexpected, as Kettlestrings puts its own signature on each tune in the set.
The Band
Victoria Storm - vocals/guitars - I love that these friends let me explore music with them; sometimes they even let me turn it up to 11.
Ray Holdsworth - drums/vocals - I like many things. This band is on the list so I keep showing up for practice.
Richard Raskin - lead guitar - I make melodies and tacos, some more spicy than others.
Ed Malone - keys/accordion - I warm up the middle with textures and doodlie-dos.
Don Kovach - bass/cello - I tell bad dad jokes and make a mean old-fashioned.
Kate Burch - backup vocals - Singing harmony and providing inappropriate humor during rehearsals makes me happy.
